At D.F. McGuire & Associates, LLC, our business practice areas include representing plaintiff and defendants in the follow types of matters:

  • Business fraud: Partnership fraud, breaches of fiduciary duties, and securities fraud or misrepresentation.
  • Contract litigation: Employer/employee contracts, contracts between partners, licensing disputes, and breach of contract matters.
  • Employment litigation: We represent workers with discrimination, harassment, and wage claims against their employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO).  We also defend businesses against these types of claims as well as against premise liability claims.
  • Entertainment matters:  Our attorneys have experience representing the many interests of performance artists and musicians, including those who are owed royalty fees.  We also represent businesses against infringement claims by Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI), the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), and Society of European Stage Authors and Composers (SESAC).
  • Landlord/Tenant matters: Disputes between landlords and tenants, including security deposit recovery problems.

We believe that everyone should have access to quality legal services at an affordable price.  We manage our own resources in such a way that we can afford to offer our clients a reasonable fee structure.  We are willing to work with our clients to develop a payment structure that they can manage.  That might mean a sliding scale for fees, payment plans, or a contingency fee where appropriate.

We help people solve problems by finding creative solutions with their bottom line in mind.  How can we help you?
